Continuing
Plotline continued from here.

The cab ride home is a bit disorienting, the movement jostling Jack and Ianto, streetlights flashing through the windows. Any other time they're in a situation like this, they aren't in a vehicle. Furniture, floor, or bathtub, but not a vehicle. Jack holds on a bit tighter with the unfamiliar sensations, trying to only let Ianto in. His vague mental state does plenty to keep most else out.

Thankfully, the driver gets the hint that small-talk wouldn't be appreciated, driving without speaking to them. The cab pulls up into their gravel drive and parks with the engine running. Jack sighs as they stop. "Here?"

	He holds Jack tightly as the cab makes its way through the streets of Margate, one arm firmly around him, other hand stroking softly over his neck. He murmurs softly to Jack, how much he loves him, that he's got him, that Jack is safe now. He nuzzles softly against Jack as they pull up to the house. "Yes, cariad. We're home." He makes soft noises with the strokes over his neck, keeping him from sinking into the darkness or panicking, making him relax and keep focused on Ianto. His replies are somewhat on the nonsensical side, and very quiet, but it's much better than silence.

"Already home. You."

The driver turns to tell Ianto the total, figuring that the other passenger must be drunk or drugged or otherwise out of his right mind.

He's pleased that Jack manages to stay mostly relaxed through the ride home, holding him and touching him and speaking to him softly. He smiles gently at Jack's comment. "Always home with you, too."

He fishes his wallet out of pocket somewhat awkwardly, trying to do everything one-handed. He grabs out all the money in there and hands it over to the driver, not bothering to count it or wait for change, focused on getting Jack inside and in bed.

Jack loosens his arms enough to keep from pinning Ianto or otherwise limiting his one-handed movement more than it already is. "Home."

The driver's quite surprised but pleased with the money, and given that Ianto doesn't wait expectantly for any change, it appears to be a very nice tip indeed. He waits for Ianto to finish helping Jack out of the cab and away from it before driving off.

	He doesn't care, or even know, how much money he's given over to the driver. All his attention is focused on Jack. He encourages Jack to lean against him, and starts leading him slowly up the driveway. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	He leans against Ianto as they move together, walking shakily but at least walking now. The time spent in Ianto's embrace with the touch to his neck helped with that. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Mmmm, you're doing so good, Jack. Almost there." He stops at the door, cursing silently that he took the time to lock it, although he knows it's a good idea. He fumbles with his keys for a moment, then practically flings the door open, in a hurry to get Jack settled in. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
